David believes it is important to teach people skills first to develop individual styles and confidence with different mediums, then creating pictures using those skills. Experimenting with different mediums , in the form of simple exercises, encourages their own style and understanding using a basic structure as a guideline before applying new skills to a finished painting. |
For each skill taught there is an accompanying leaflet detailing the skill learned. This helps when the individual has returned home and not everything is as fresh in the mind. Groups are kept small to enable that so important one to one tuition within the group. This also helps to create a good friendly, all round pleasant working atmosphere, where everyone interacts with each other helping build confidence levels. |

As well as running weekly courses, David has two day workshops as an introduction to the mediums of Pencil and Watercolour. Drawing skills are so important and too many times overlooked at the start of a painting. Pencil can provide the foundations to any painting, and stronger foundations will make for an easier and stronger outcome to the painting. As well as local Village Halls, David is adding Hotels and Businesses to his list of venues for the classes and workshops. For those individuals who prefer to be taught on a one to one basis, David does offer Private Tuition as an alternative. |
